The A.C. Jones Family Community and Career Leaders of America (FCCLA) made their second annual field trip to the Ronald McDonald House in San Antonio on Saturday, May 21.

The club dropped off 3,000 Coke can tabs that had been collected from September 2010 to May 2011. The previous year the club had collected 1,500. Ann Scotten, club adviser, hopes it keeps doubling.

Students who take a Family Consumer Science Course are eligible to be in the FCCLA.

The club meets monthly and plans a community service project and a fund-raising project. As with most national organizations, the FCCLA has several college scholarship opportunities.

Anyone interested in working with the FCCLA collecting tabs can contact Mrs. Scotten at A.C. Jones High School.
