In Wednesday’s edition of the Bee-Picayune on Page 12A, concerning the former Coastal Bend College employee’s death in a motorcycle accident, you ended the article in a way as to bring down his character after his death. No charges were ever filed as stated in your article.
So was there a point or reason for this? And to every other Beevillian, or former one, should we expect anything from our past to be attached to our death announcement, whether charges were filed or not? If so, save a lot of room for a lot of people in or from this town. I’d hate to see what you’d write about me!
Tony Sanders was the first person I met when I moved to Beeville 33 years ago. He is my friend, and though I’m saddened at his death, I’m appalled by the memory attached to the article on his death.
Imagine how his family feels. I know it has upset other friends besides me!

This is an perfect example of do as I say not as I do....
I agree with Agree. Gone are the days of compassion @ Bee Picay~, guess ethics died with ole man Latcham.
This is yet another typical small town rag attempt at journalism.
A death announcement should be just that, interesting how they can add that information but continued to failed to include the income of Pam Priour Stuart CEO of the Chamber and why months went by without seeing bank statements. Why is that? Is the B'pic in bed with the chamber?
The beepic drags some people down while helping cover up others.
My heart goes out to all the trees that are sacrificed to print this type of shoddy journalism.
