The 10-year-old son of Gloria and John Canchola of Refugio placed first in shot put and long jump at both meets and tallied other first-place wins in discus at Flour Bluff and high jump in Cuero.
Izac long jumped 15.5 ft.; high jumped 4ft. 2 inches in Cuero and 4 ft. in Four Bluff; threw the shot 32 ft. in Flour Bluff and 30 ft. in Cuero.
Izac says his goal is to compete in the National Junior Olympics.
