Gomez is a 2004 graduate of A.C. Jones High School. He attended Coastal Bend College in the fall semester of 2004, taking core curriculum courses before deciding to pursue an associates in applied science degree in drafting and design, which he obtained in 2007.
Gomez is currently employed at Charles Pope & Associates, an architecture firm in San Antonio. He is the son of Armando and Esther Gomez of Beeville and the grandson of Riley and Mary Brionez and the late Antonio and Eva Gomez.
