Shelley Christine James and Christopher Douglas Burton were united in holy matrimony on Saturday, June 11, at 5 o’clock in the evening at Grace Presbyterian Church in Plano.

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Debbie James of Plano. She graduated in 2010 from Baylor University with a bachelor of music degree, and is presently attending graduate school at Loyola University in New Orleans.

The groom is the son of Doug and Linda Burton of Burnet. He graduated from A.C. Jones High School in 2004 and attained his bachelor of music degree in 2007 from Baylor University and his master of music from Florida State University in 2010.

Following a honeymoon in Seattle, Wash., the couple now reside in New Orleans, where Chris is beginning doctoral studies and is employed at Parkway Presbyterian Church, the University of New Orleans and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
