Normanna special meeting called

The Normanna Texas H.M. and Community Improvement Association will hold a special called meeting with members of the Normanna Volunteer Fire Department at 5 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday.)

The meeting will be held at 201 N. St. Mary’s St. in Beeville.

Items on the agenda includes:

•Discussion and action on the transfer of property in Block 8 near the proposed location for the new Normanna Fire Station building. The property being considered includes the old Sinclair Park area on the corner of Live Oak and Yoward streets.

•Discussion and action on the status of the bank loan debt for the Normanna Post Office building, the taxes owed, and the insurance on the building.

•Discussion and action for a proposed fund-raiser to contribute to the payment on the Normanna Post Office indebtedness. The fundraiser is scheduled to be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, in Beeville if approved by both organizations.

A community get-together and covered dish dinner will follow the meeting.
