Last Tuesday evening the ladies traveled to Natalia to take on the Lady Mustangs. Natalia took the Lady Horns to three games from missed serves and mistakes from the ladies, but they wanted it and fought hard. Then at 22-22 in the third game George West made a run and finished. The scores were 25-21, 20-25 and 25-22.
The JV Lady Horns are Shelby Morton, Gabby Chapa, Clarissa Arciba, Samantha Valadez, Shelby James, Allison Bryce, Ciara Lilly, Briana Salazar, Michele Smith, Erin Snider and Jordan Hensley.
Stats for Lady Horns were aces, Snider four, James and Smith three, Morton and Salazar two. Kills were Hensley six, James and Snider three, Chapa and Salazar two. Assists were Smith nine, Bryce and Salazar two, Chapa and Hensley one. Digs were Snider three, Morton, James, Salazar, Smith two, Hensley one.
These ladies will travel to Poth on Tuesday and start the second round of district play.
