Freshman Kristina Sauceda, who has consistently brought home top honors this season, earned yet another – a 2nd place finish. Classmate Clara Gotthardt medaled with her 12th place finish, while Junior Courtney Garcez trailed at14th to also medal. Senior Tara Torres narrowly missed medaling with a 19th place finish, Senior Kim Lara had a 53rd place outcome, and Freshman Seande Goodhue placed 33rd.
“I’m glad I have improved from last year,” C. Garcez said.
Meanwhile the varsity boys earned 5th place team with Senior Miguel Perales medaling with his 10th place finish, and Freshman Robert Morin coming in 14th and medaling. Sophomore Chris Tobar was 25th, Sophomore Ari Lopez finished 46th and Freshman Angel May 41st.
Both JV runners medaled. Freshmen Madie Walter finished 3rd, and Savannah Dobson 5th.
For the JV boys, Jeremy Coronado medaled with his 10th place finish. Freshman Randy Flores finished 18th, Junior Rodney Foreman was 26th, and Sophomore Jesus Moncada came in 36th.
At the junior high level, the girls were paced by Jordan Garcez’s 3rd place finish; she earned a medal. Emily Valdez came in 22nd, and Dee Sha Shular was close behind at 24th.
The boys’ Kyler Palmer medaled with his 12th place finish, and Andres Moncada finished 22nd.
