John and Carol Harris of Tuleta, Texas, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 17 in Silverton, Colorado. Their sons’ families were a major part of the celebration.

John and Carol were married June 17, 1961, at Calvary Baptist Church in Port Lavaca, Texas. They were blessed with two sons: Quent and Gerard. Quent and wife, Martha, life in La Vernia while Gerard and wife, Geniene, live in Tuleta. There are four grandchildren: Stephanie 19, Jake 12, Danielle 17 and Seth 13.

The family enjoyed jeeping and riding ATV’s along with the snow and beautiful scenery.

Their sons and spouses treated them to a very special anniversary dinner in Telluride, Colorado, which included a beautiful gondola ride to the top of the mountain where the restaurant was located.

John and Carol thank God for the many blessings he has bestowed upon them and want to say thank you to all of the many friends and family members that have made their 50 years together some of the best times of their lives.
