He was born May 10, 1943 in Nell, Texas to Jesus Gonzales and Guadalupe (Alaniz) Gonzales. He married Dominga (Madrigal) Gonzales on August 24, 1967 in Kenedy. He was a heavy equipment operator for Karnes County Precinct #1. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife Dominga (Madrigal) Gonzales of Kenedy; daughters, Debbie Gonzales and Ralphy Salas, both of Kenedy; father, Jesus Gonzales of Kenedy; sisters, Martha Hernandez and Agarita Cortez, both of Pawnee; brothers, Matias Alaniz Gonzales of Kenedy, Felix Alaniz Gonzales of Three Rivers, Juan Alaniz of Coy City and Miguel Alaniz Gonzales of Coy City; three grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Preceded in death by his mother, Guadalupe (Alaniz) Gonzales and brother, Benito Alaniz Gonzales.
A rosary will be recited Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. in Eckols Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Norbert Hermann officiating. Burial followed at the Nell Cemetery near Pawnee.
Pallbearers were Fidencio Hernandez, Randy Diaz, Mike Gonzales, Sr., Dickey Gonzales Jesse Gonzales and Jerry Hernandez.
