The Skidmore-Tynan varsity Bobcat basketball team has been on a winning streak as of late.

The ‘Cats won their district opener last week against the San Diego Vaqueros 64-49. No scoring details were made available.

In the George West Longhorns’ tournament last week, the Bobcats went undefeated in four games to claim the tournament title.

The S-T varsity defeated the Three Rivers Bulldogs in round one 71-21. In the second round, the S-T boys finished ahead of Pettus, 59-48. The third round contest was against the McMullen Cowboys and the Bobcats captured a 63-49 win in that tilt.

In the final game of the tournament, the Bobcats met on the court with the host Longhorns.

In a close game, the Bobcats emerged with a 55-51 victory to go undefeated in the three-day tournament. Eric Schumacher and Zeke Huerta were named to the all-tournament team.

The Bobcats played the Freer Buckaroos on Tuesday in Freer.
