The women of Saint Paul’s hosted the Thankoffering Service for this the Fourth Sunday in Lent. Joni Huwe based the Message on the familiar song, “Jesus Loves Me”. The song reminds us that Jesus loves each and every one of us as he created us. Be thankful of all of God’s creations and live to serve and please the Lord.

The Scripture Lessons, Psalm, and Gospel were read by Stacey Jonas. Frances Kempe provided the Prayer of the Day. The prayers were read by Mary Louise Jonas. Prayers of health and wellbeing were given for all who are ill, in nursing homes, and shut-in. God’s protection continues to be requested in prayer for all service men and women who serve to protect our country. Ushers for the service were Barbara Jonas, Peggy Walleck and Helen Grimm. Rita Jordan served as organist. The Light of God was delivered by acolyte, Andrew Collins. Lisa Collins decorated the Sanctuary with all the beautiful quilts made by the quilters of Saint Paul’s.

Barbara Jonas thanked the congregation for their generous donations for the Relay for Life event that will be held on April 27-28 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. at the Kenedy High School Stadium.
