Ms. Husdon was born in Slidell, La. on Jan. 9, 1964, to Wayne David and Ida (McGuffin) Dirks. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in communications.
Survivors include her parents; a son, Brock Dirks Hudson; and three brothers, Myron David Dirks, James Wade Dirks and Wayne Keith Dirks.
A memorial service was held Monday, May 7, at 4:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church chapel in Houston with Scott Kitayawa officiating. Afterward, a gathering was held in the church Solarium.
