She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gonzalo Salazar, and two stepsons, Ernesto Salazar and Rogelio Salazar.
Survivors include four sons; Gonzalo Salazar, Jr. (Dalia) of El Paso, Tx., Ruben Salazar, Samuel Salazar (Rebecca) both of Beeville, Tx., and Joel Salazar of Dallas, Tx.; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Others survivors include her three brothers; Adan Gutierrez of Lubbock, Tx., Eli Gutierrez of Chula Vista, Ca., Ray Gutierrez of Dallas, Tx.; Five sisters; Maria Salazar of Lubbock, Tx., Irma Porras of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Alicia Falcon of Beeville, Tx., Francis Rubio of Victoria, Tx. and Lydia Rodriguez of Beeville, Tx.
Public visitation was held Tuesday, May 8, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home Chapel. Prayer service was also held on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Trevino Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Ramon officiating; assisted by Bro. Rangel. Burial followed at the Evangelico Cemetery in Beeville, Tx.
Serving as pallbearers were Austin Salazar, Ashley Salazar, Luis Salazar, David Rodriguez Abel Barrera and Jerry Rodriguez.
