The bride-elect is the daughter of Paula Handy of Beeville and Wesley and Jerri Handy of Mathis. The prospective groom is the son of George and Hazel Bernal of Beeville.
The couple plan to wed Saturday, May 19, at 7 p.m. in a double-ring ceremony at Marriage Island in San Antonio.
