Ricardo “Richard” Martinez, 49, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Beeville, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012.

Mr. Martinez was born Dec. 12, 1962, in Beeville to Ricardo and Hermila Martinez.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Juanita Villafranco and Martin Martinez; paternal grandparents, Presiano and Maria Salome Martinez.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Martinez of Mesa, Ariz.; two daughters, Laura Martinez and Alexandra (Richard) Flores, both of Mesa, Ariz.; one son, Justin Martinez of Mesa, Ariz.; mother, Hermila (Ralph) Patton of San Angelo; two brothers, Edward Martinez of San Angelo and Les (Wendy) Thompson of Dallas; one sister, Biddy (Joe Vargas) Martinez of Beeville; one granddaughter, Alexis Flores; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service was held Friday, June 22, at the family residence in Mesa, Ariz.

Arrangements were under the direction of Mariposa Garden Memorial Park & Funeral Care, Mesa, Ariz.
