The annual Beeville Cattlemen’s RoundUp benefiting Driscoll Childen’s Hospital will take to the ring Friday, June 15, at noon.

Held at the Beeville Livestock Commission, 4-H Clubs from Bee, Goliad and Refugio counties will be auctioning off baked goods, handmade items, farm and ranch items, animals and more to raise funds for the hospital.

Gerald Eckel of Lyssy & Eckel Feeds is serving as the 2012 Cattlemen’s RoundUp chairman and encourages all to participate, noting, “One hundred percent of funds raised will go towards the purchase of items like medical equipment for Driscoll Children’s Hospital.”

Driscoll is a nonprofit, regional referral medical center offering complex and comprehensive medical and surgical care for children regardless of ability to pay. It provides emergency care for approximately 40,000 children each year. It’s referral area covers 31 counties, or about 33,000 square miles.
