Juanita Jo Wilcox Dickson, 94, of Austin, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, in her home. She was born Jan. 17, 1918, in Fort Worth.

Rev. Charles William Dickson, 97, of Austin, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at his home. He was born Oct. 24, 1914, in Waco.

Juanita graduated with a BA from Howard Payne University in 1938, and Charles graduated with a BA from Hardin-Simmons University in 1938. They both graduated from Southwestern Seminary in 1941, and pastored churches in Texas and Illinois. He served as chaplain in the military from 1942-46. They served as Baptist foreign missionaries to Brazil for 33 years and had been faithful members at Hyde Park Baptist Church since they retired. They were also actively involved in a Hyde Park Baptist mission action group, which was named in their honor. They were married for 71 years.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, who were also Baptist missionaries to Brazil, and by two sisters. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita, his parents and siblings.

Survivors include four daughters, Helen (John) Hastings, Carole (Mike) Thorsrud, Janet (Dave) McGinn and Susan (Ray) Waugh, formerly of Beeville; two grandchildren, Kyle McGinn and Kristy Blevins; four great-grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews; and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Juanita is also survived by one sister, Trudie (Richard) Jackson.

A memorial service was held at Highland Park Baptist Church in Austin, at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16.
