“Our little Trojans lived up to our motto this season ‘Release the Beast’. They did an awesome job,” said summer track coach Linda Luna.
The young athletes compete in age-group brackets and positive reinforcement is always given to the youngsters.
Here are the results of the events:
In the youngest age bracket, the primary group, Kaydence Menchaca captured first place with Stephanie DelBosque coming in third. Ciarah Rodriguez placed sixth in the event.
In the primary group, Beeville had Kaydence Menchaca place first in her heat. Annica Gonzales finished in second place, while Ariana Ruiz and Meagan DelBosque each earned third place ribbons. Stephanie DelBosque placed fourth and Ciarah Rodriguez finished sixth for the primary girls.
Jaxton Alvarado crossed the finish line in third place for the primary boys.
In the sub-bantam group, Danyelle Adamez blazed her way to a second place ribbon. Desmond Givens captured a third place spot for the boys. Jolie Carrillo was fifth in the bantam division, while Abigail Gonzales was fifth in the sub-midget division. Carlos Escamilla brought home a first place ribbon for the boys in the sub-midget group in the 100-meter event.
Samantha Manzano led the way in the midget group with a first place finish in the sprint. Gabriella Murphy was second and Haley Sharp placed third for a Beeville sweep. Donyvan Givens also claimed first place for the boys.
Marco Valadez placed sixth for the boys bantam runners. Shaynea Redmond was second in the sub-midget group for the girls, and Carlos Escamilla was first across the finish line in the boys’ sub-midget division.
Samantha Manzano ran to a second place finish in the midget division, with Haley Sharp in third and Gabriella Murphy in fourth for the young Lady Trojans. Donyvan Givens placed second in the 200-meter event for the Trojans in the midget group.
The primary girls got a fourth place finish from Annica Gonzales and right behind her was Alicia Garcia in fifth place. Danyelle Adamez ran to a third place finish in the sub-bantam division with Yaneli Aguilar in fourth.
Alex Aguilar placed second in the bantam division for the Trojans. Shaynea Redmond ran to a second place spot for the Lady Trojans in the sub-midget group. Johnny Ramos placed third in the long sprint in the midget division.
Keegan Westmoreland took on the long running event and placed sixth in the primary boys division.
The primary girls squad of Meagan DelBosque, Yaneli Aguilar, Ariana Ruiz and Danyelle Adamez captured first place with a time of 1:14. The bantam boys’ foursome of Jaxton Alvarado, Alex Aguilar, Marco Valadez and Desmond Givens finished second with a time of 1:08.
Meagan DelBosque jumped to a second place finish with a leap of 8-6 in the primary group. In the sub-bantam competition, Yaneli Aguilar placed third at 7-11 while Lana Garcia was fourth at 6-10.5 for the Lady Trojans. Desmond Givens captured first place with a leap of 10-5. Bantam Alex Aguilar also won a first place ribbon for the Trojans with a jump of 10-11. Sub-midget competitors Shaynea Redmond placed second with a 12-3 effort while Trojan Carlos Escamilla captured first place honors with a leap of 14-4.
Midget division athletes had Haley Sharp place third at 10-1 while Trojan Donyvan Givens was second at 13-3 and Johnny Ramos was fourth with a leap of 11-3.
Deemi DeLeon was second with a throw of 14-0 in the sub-midget division. Abigail Gonzales placed third at 13-4. Midget competitor Gabriella Murphy was third with a throw of 21-4 while Samantha Manzano was fourth in 21-3.5. Johnny Ramos tossed the heavy ball 17-6.5 for a third place ribbon.
This week’s meet will be held in George West.
