Elodia (Treviño) Rodriguez, 86, of Beeville, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012.

Mrs. Rodriguez was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Beeville to Jesusa (Ramos) and Ysidro Treviño Sr. She married Victor S. Rodriguez Sr. in Beeville on July 19, 1942, and was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ysidro and Jesusa Treviño; her husband of 60 years, Victor S. Rodriguez Sr.; her children, Rosa Amelia Rodriguez, David T. Rodriguez Sr. and Victor Rodriguez Jr.; sisters, Dora Loya and Leonor Botello; and brothers, Ysidro Treviño Jr. and Narciso Treviño Sr.

Survivors include daughters, Rachel (Danny) Rodriguez, Linda Rodriguez, Rosie (Dino) Sauceda, Nora (David Jr.) Garcia, Caroline (Rudy Jr.) Flores and Rebecca (Sam) Salazar, all of Beeville; a son, Roland (Norma) Rodriguez of Beeville; 27 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Visitation was held Friday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A rosary was recited there that evening at 7 o’clock.

The funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, June 16, at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Lukose Thirunelliparambil officiating. Burial followed in Beeville Memorial Park.

Pallbearers were David Garcia III, Rudy Flores III, Austin Salazar, David Rodriguez Jr., Roland Rodriguez Jr., Jerry Rodriguez, Martin Garza Jr. and Victor Maldonado.

Honorary pallbearers were Ruben Flores, J.D. Flores, Jerome and Chris Villarreal, Thomas Villarreal, Randy Beltran Jr., Jerry and Jared Rodriguez and Ciara Garcia.
