I very much appreciate the wonderful tributes to my late husband, Scott Jones, which the Bee-Picayune has published over the past few months. These are a comfort to my family and me. We are fortunate to have such a caring staff at our local newspaper.
I want to thank everyone who helped Scott and me over the past few months through his illness, death and funeral. All of the staff members at A.C. Jones High School and Beeville ISD have helped tremendously. Our church family at Faith Lutheran Church supported us over the months and provided a wonderful meal after the funeral. Your faith and consistency are amazing.
I would like to thank the local law enforcement officers from the Beeville Police Department and Bee County Sheriff’s Department. Your professionalism and care for me on the most difficult morning of my life will always be remembered by me.
Thank you also to the friends who have been with me through these difficult times – you know who you are, and you know I love you.
Thank you also to Pastor Gary Conklin, Pastor Don Taylor and Pastor Eric Tarver. Your support and strength throughout this time has helped me in countless ways.
I also thank my son, David, who has been a great support and help to me during these difficult times. I appreciate all of the love the students at A.C. Jones showed Mr. Jones and me over the past few months.
I appreciate everyone in Beeville who has helped Scott and me and loved us. This is an amazing, faithful community, and I feel very fortunate to be a part of it. I am so glad to live in a place where the spirit of God is alive. I am really fortunate to have loved and been loved by such a wonderful man, Scott, and I know that God will continue to bless me.
