Theresa and Ed Bowles Jr. of Seguin are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tasha Rochelle Bowles, to Robert Alaniz II, son of Robert Alaniz of George West and Dolores and Bill Doughty of Temple.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Sonja and Edgar Stratmann of Yorktown and the late Martha and Edwin B. Bowles Sr. of La Vernia. She is a 2000 graduate of Seguin High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin in conjunction with the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She is currently employed as a pharmacist at CVS Pharmacy in San Antonio.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Alma and the late Juan Manuel Presa of Beeville and the late Delia and Esteban Alaniz of George West. He is a 2002 graduate of George West High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is currently employed as a teacher in the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio.

The couple plan to exchange vows on Sept. 22 at the Pearl Stable with Judge Endericio Chapa officiating.
