This Sunday, Forgiven, a group of talented musicians from San Marcos, will take the stage at the church’s outdoor concert venue. Concert coordinator Jim Stevenson said, “This is new for us, because we normally feature only musicians from the local area, but, this year, we are very pleased to present Forgiven, from San Marcos.”
However, Stevenson pointed out that the group has a strong connection to Beeville and the Faith Lutheran Gospel Concert series. Forgiven is brought to Beeville by A.C. Jones graduate Danny Senties, who recently graduated from Texas State University with a degree in music.
Stevenson added, “For the past two summers, in addition to performing with Faith Lutheran’s praise band, Cross Ways, Danny served as stage manager and sound engineer for the entire summer concert series. We are very excited to have him taking part in our concert series once again. He has been an invaluable asset to the concert series, and having him bring his group from San Marcos to perform is a real thrill.”
Stevenson added, “If you have not attended a concert yet, you are missing a very special evening of great Christian music. I know it seems that it would be too hot to enjoy an outdoor concert this time of year, but for the past three years, it has been breezy and enjoyable at every single concert. The east side of our church is grassy and cool and is in the shade several hours before the concert begins. But the real magic comes from the wind tunnel we have on that side of the church. This will be the perfect chance to come out and enjoy a wonderful summer concert. We have folding chairs or you can bring your own lawn chairs. We also have free bottled water, or you can bring you own soft drinks.”
Everyone is invited to come out on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. to give Forgiven a warm Beeville welcome as they bring their contemporary Christian music to the Faith Lutheran outdoor stage.
