Varsity Bulldogs come up short against Freer Buckaroos

The Varsity Boys Bulldogs traveled to Freer on Friday, Feb. 6. The Bulldogs fought hard but came up short in the end 74-55.

The Dogs were down at the half 43-25 but cut the lead going into the fourth to 52-41. The Bulldogs cut the lead to 10 with about six minutes to go but the Buckaroos free throw shooting did in the Bulldogs.

Preston Pennington led all scorers with 20 points. Travis Escamilla chipped in 16, Garret Luthringer 11, Logan Muniz seven, Trevor Wells two, and John Ross one. The Dogs are 4-5 in District with three games to go.

They will host GW on Tuesday and Natalia on Friday. Game time for Friday is set of 7:30 p.m.
