The money collected is used to purchase animals at the premium sale at the conclusion of the fair. “Our group has been able to help many kids in the purchasing of their projects. The majority of the kids use the money toward a project for next year and their college funds. I know the economic times are tough for everyone. No donation is turned away,” Nelson said.
Nelson asks the community to “spread the word”; she usually sends out a mailing but is trying to save money and reach as many people as I can through e-mail.

Contact Nelson if you have any questions. “As always, your names will be listed in a thank you advertisement in The Progress after the fair. The fair is March 26 to 28. The sale will be at 6 p.m. on Saturday night. Your presence would be greatly appreciated,” Nelson said.
