BEEVILLE — Highway Patrol troopers and deputies from the Bee County Sheriff’s Office were investigating an accident that left two people dead Wednesday morning at the intersection of U.S Highway 181 and State Highway 359 just south of Skidmore.

The accident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. and involved a Lincoln Navigator and an 18-wheeler pulling a trailer hauling heavy construction equipment.
