The annual National Night Out block party on the Bee County Courthouse lawn will return on Tuesday, Oct. 2.

The event starts on the north lawn at 6 p.m. and will continue until 8 p.m.

Coordinators are trying something different this year. The Beeville Police Department, Bee County Sheriff’s Office and Coastal Bend Crime Stoppers have teamed up to incorporated talent from all around the city. Some of the talent will include students from Moreno Middle School, A.C. Jones Hugh School and Coastal Bend College. Dancers from the Folklorico dance troop and The Dance Studio will perform, as well as Jump For Joy.

Donations are requested to help purchase a duck pond, prizes for the pond, face paint and brushes, a dunking booth and ring toss game, and hot dogs, buns and all the fixings. Donations can be made to Coastal Bend Crime Stoppers at 210 E. Corpus Christi St. Please indicate “National Night Out” on checks. Donations should be made by Sept. 15.
