The Beeville Council of Church Women met at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at the First Presbyterian Church.

Thirty-seven ladies, representing the various churches in Beeville, enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by the ladies of the Presbyterian church, Following the meal, Rev. Linda Sherry, pastor of First Presbyterian, presented an interesting program on the women of the Bible from the book of Judges.

The next meeting will be Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church. The following is the schedule for the remainder of 2013:

Friday, March 1 – World Day of Prayer – First United Methodist Church;

Thursday, May 30 – First Baptist Church;

Thursday, Aug. 29 – Faith Lutheran Church; and

Thursday, Oct. 31 – First Christian Church.
