Junior Service League members and breast cancer survivors pose for a picture at their monthly meeting on Friday, Oct. 5. The league donated more than $7,000 to breast and cervial clinics last year and sold T-shirts this year to help breast cancer patients in the area.
The Junior Service League of Beeville, in partnership with South Texas Family Planning and Health Corporation, sold T-shirts to benefit those diagnosed with breast cancer in our area. Money raised will go to the Breast and Cervical Cancer Clinics of STFPHC. The Junior Service League donated more than $7,000 to help with the Breast and Cervical Cancer Service in 2011.
Michelle Trevino, Junior Service League president, was overjoyed with the response from sales so far this year. “We have sold over 1,000 shirts and are hoping to surpass our donation from last year!” she said.
