The Texas Department of Transportation said the contractor working on improving major thoroughfares in Beeville will close the one-block-long section of U.S. 181 Business in order to move a water line.
The contractor will also install a new storm sewer lane, TxDOT reported.
The section of the roadway is located to the west of the Bee County Courthouse.
TxDOT is installing new storm sewer drains along U.S. 59, and parts of St. Mary’s Street and U.S. 181 Business to help improve drainage during downpours.
