The BISD Special Olympics Team competed at the Area 2 Bowling meet held on Nov. 3 at Saratoga Lanes in Corpus Christi. More than 600 athletes representing 21 teams from the South Texas area were in attendance. Those representing Beeville were Victoria Salazar - bronze medal with a two-game average of 86, Jose Johnson - silver medal with a two-game average of 77, Miranda Abrigo - fourth place with a two-game average of 51, Richard Moreno - fifth place with a two-game average of 42, Kevin Garza - silver medal with a two-game average of 92. The Beeville team includes, from left, Trojan athletes Victoria Salazar, Jose Johnson, Miranda Abrigo, Richard Moreno and Kevin Garza. BPA club members include Teresa Cano, Anahi Cantu, Juan Ibarra, Justin Segovia and Kristin Luna. The Business Professionals of America Club volunteers helped with the meet and the coaches expressed their gratitude for the support.
