As coordinator for the Beeville Toys for Tots program, I would like to give a huge thank you to Marine Staff Sergeant Andrew Ortiz and his fellow Marines and local Marine recruits, who conducted a very successful toy collection drive last Saturday afternoon at Walgreen’s and H-E-B. Several Marines drove to Beeville from Corpus Christi, and all of them gave up valuable weekend and family time for this good cause.

The cash donations will enable us to purchase toys for age categories which the collection drives have not sufficiently covered.

I also want to thank the many kind, generous people in this community who donated toys and cash to help make Christmas happier for a lot of needy local children.

We appreciate the wonderful support for our Toys for Tots program!
