Rockport-Fulton – The Corpus Christi MG Car Club will hold its 17th annual Rockport Sports and Classic Auto Show at the award-winning Blue Wave Rockport Beach Park on March 28.

This event is the major fundraiser for education assistance donated by the MG Car Club.

The gates open at 9 a.m. for the free event.

Rockport Beach Park entry fees do apply. The fee is $4 per car for a daily pass or $10 for a year’s pass.

There will be 17 different automobile classes which will include MGs, foreign, muscle cars, antique pre 1941 and race cars.

There will also be Corvettes ranging from 1953 through 2009 and Mustangs from 1964 through 2009.

Judging starts at noon. Awards will be presented for each class as well as additional awards for best of show and the best club display.

The awards presentation begins at 3 p.m.

Vendors will have products to keep your antique or new car looking great. Food vendors will be on hand selling hamburgers, hot dogs, snow cones and drinks.

There’s also an opportunity to sell your car at the Car Corral. Pre-registration is $20 per vehicle or $25 on the day of the show. No commission will be charged.
