Margarito Arredondo Jr., 68, died on Friday, March 20, 2009. He was born on April 5, 1940, to Margarito Arredondo Sr. and Elvira Chavarria in Beeville.

Survivors include three sons, Margarito (Irene) Arredondo III, Jose Angel (Gracie) Arredondo and Richard (Rosie) Villarreal, all of Beeville; five daughters, Guadalupe (George) Hiatt of Dallas, Lillie (Javier) Sanchez, Norma (Martin) Esparza and Sandra (Eduvige) Perez, all of Berclair, and Mary Jane (Les) Gay of Beeville; his mother, Elvira Chavarria of Beeville, two brothers, Adan (Jackie) Guerrero and Alfredo (Minerva) Arredondo of Beeville; three sisters, Elda Guerrero, Irene (Porfirio) Cantu and Isabel (Elizar) Martinez, all of Beeville; 41 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held today (Wednesday) from 1 to 9 p.m., with a rosary to be recited this evening at 7 o’clock at Trevino Funeral Home.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Clareville Cemetery in Clareville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Margarito Arredondo Sr.; his wife, Elena Dominguez Arredondo, on Nov. 25, 2005; a son, Joe Anthony Arredondo; a sister, Tomasita Maldonado; and a brother, Margarito Arredondo Jr.

Pallbearers will be Javier Sanchez Jr., Jose Antonio Arredondo Jr., Jose Angel Arredondo III, David Rea, Xavier Arrisola, Juan Enrique Guerrero, Jeremy Guerrero and Daniel Dominguez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jessica A. Esparza, Erica A. and Blanca A. Sanchez, Lori A. Sandoval, Priscilla P. Montoya and Michelle Arredondo.
