Daniel and Amy Waer of Woodsboro are happy to announce the birth of their son, Deegan William Waer, on Friday, Dec. 21, at 9:22 a.m. at Citizens Medical Center in Victoria.

Deegan weighed 7 pounds, 8 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Kenneth and Marsha Wright of Refugio; maternal great-grandmother is Avalah Wright of Refugio.

Paternal grandparents are David and Janet Waer of Schroeder and paternal great-grandmother is Louise Lutz of Seguin.
