SKIDMORE — The Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats football team placed several players on the District 16-2A Division II honors teams for their fine play this year under first-year coach Russell Joy.

The district coaches selected defensive lineman Kyle Jostes for his contributions to the Bobcat defensive front this year to an all-district first team position.

Big Brody Longmire was named to the all-district first team’s offensive line. The ’Cat offensive often ran the ball to Longmire’s side to take advantage of the size offered by the Bobcat lineman.

Sebastian Hernandez also gained first team all-district recognition for his versatility and talent. He was named as the first team’s utility player.

The Bobcats placed four players on the district’s second team. Jerry Fuentes was selected as one of the outside linebackers. Tomas Moore earned a spot as a defensive safety. Ryan Lasko was selected to the squad at fullback. Donovan Encinia made it as a running back to team with Lasko in the district’s second team backfield.

Earning honorable mention status were Bobcats Pedro Torres (OL), Seth Phillips (TE), Kyle Nelson (DB) and R.J. Estrada (QB).
