Mrs. Serrano was born and raised in the Sinton area to Pablo and Beatris Moreno. She was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Beatris Moreno; two sons, Guadalupe Garza and Andres Serrano; and one daughter, Maida DeLeon.
Survivors include her husband, Felipe G. Serrano of Sinton; her children, Pedro Garza and Ismael Serrano of Corpus Christi, Felipe Serrano Jr. and Candelario Serrano of Sinton, Gabriel (Christina) Serrano of Van Vleck, Dora (Ignacio) Ramirez of Skidmore, Ida (Roberto) Lopez, Diana Chapa, Maria Anita (Ruben) Soliz and Patricia Serrano of Sinton, Irma (Pedro) Rodriguez of Mathis and Isabel Mayuex of Thibodaux, La.; two brothers, Edwardo Moreno of Sinton and Pablo (Rosie) Moreno of San Antonio; two sisters, Juanita Ramirez of Tynan and Rose (Lou) Uresti of Florida; 32 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Sinton. Interment followed at Eternal Rest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Cornelio DeLeon, Roberto Lopez Jr., Ricardo Martinez, James A. Ramirez, Felipe Serrano III and Josh Serrano.
Arrangements were under the direction of Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home, Sinton.
