As a taxpayer in Bee County, I would like a few answers from the BDA. As why do they require a $50 million insurance policy for the Texas Mile when most NASCAR events require a $5 million policy? I was at the special city council meeting Thursday, Jan. 17. I was really surprised that the BDA was not at the special meeting and they declined to even give a reason to the city council that puts them in that spot. As a taxpayer and a voter, I would like to know what is so special out at Chase Field that the BDA is hiding? As far as I know there is no one out there! Or is there? What is the BDA not telling us, the taxpayers of Beeville?
