Receiving a $32,175 check to upgrade and improve the Christus Spohn pediatric program is Beeville hospital Chief Operating Office Raymond Ramos. The funds will be used to help provide a new patient area, specifically designed for children, at the hospital’s emergency room.
The check was for nearly $6,000 more than what was raised the previous year.
Funds from this year’s event at the Expo Center at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, will benefit the hospital’s Nursing Excellence Fund.
The 10th-annual Cajun-themed event is expected to attract a crowd of more than 400.
