Contributed photo.The Bee County Road and Bridge Department announces that one of their own crewmen ihas retired. Porfirio Longoria ended 27 years of service to the citizens of Bee County on Dec. 30, 2012. Longoria was foreman at the time of his retirement. He began his career at the Road and Bridge Department on July 16, 1985, as a part-time mower with the crew. He operated various trucks including but not limited to dump trucks, tractor-trailer trucks, water trucks, oil trucks and other material-hauling trucks to construct or repair sites or haul brush to dump after clearing roadways or other areas.  .
