BEEVILLE — Beeville police are looking for a 16-year-old El Campo girl who disappeared from a local restaurant on Feb. 22.

Police Chief Joe Treviño said Amber Nicole Aguirre was eating dinner with her family at about 7:30 p.m. and had gone to the restroom.

She never returned to the table.

The chief said police do not suspect foul play in the disappearance.

The missing girl’s family had been visiting with relatives in Pettus before going to the New China Super Buffet at 2003 N. St. Mary’s St.

“We’re not sure she is still in the area,” Treviño said.

He described the girl as being five feet one and weighing 185 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black jacket and jeans. She also wore tennis shoes and her hair had been dyed a reddish color.

Anyone who has information on where she might be should contact the Beeville Police Department at 358-8100 and ask for either Chief Treviño or Detective Chris Vasquez.
