Nine springtime items for gardeners were raffled off. Items and winners were: garden implement basket, Celia Franco; handpainted flowerpot/pink rosebush painted by Angie Treviño, Adelita Salazar; handpainted flower pot, palm, painted by Marie Hilda Laso, Fannie Garza; beaded chicks Easter basket, hand painted prayer plate painted by Angie Treviño, both won by Belinda Benavides; garden items in pitcher, Beatrice Sandoval; large Easter bunny decoration, Delma Pace; large Easter basket, Celia Reyes; and a large Easter floral silk arrangement made by Beatrice Sandoval, won and donated to the education building by Maria Rothmann Craig to be used for the future comfort station.
The club held its spring meeting with plans for St. Jude’s Garden, Parishioners Memorial Garden and a Rosary Garden.
Saturday, April 4, will be the cleanup day for the OLV church grounds at 10 a.m.
“Everyone who would like some good exercise is invited,” said Natalie Arispe. “Please bring a rake and large garbage bags.”
