The long-time physical therapist at Refugio Memorial Hospital suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision on the loop as he returned to his home in Victoria.
Kamm was transported by air ambulance to University Hospital.
“He’s doing better but he remains in a coma and he’s still not out of the woods,” said Lydia Schlabach, assistant hospital administrator. “If prayers and love can do it, we’re taking care of that boy.”
Police Chief Chris Brock was the last therapy patient Monday before Kamm returned to Victoria before the wreck.’
“This is a very sad day for Refugio residents,” Brock said. “There’s not enough that can be said about the good he’s done for our community.”
Schlabach said the physical department continues to see patients.
