DALLAS – On February 14 and 15, Danielle Perez and Brianna Gobel participated in the State Wrestling Tournament.

Perez qualified by placing third at the Region IV meet while Gobel qualified by placing fourth.

On the first day at state, Lady Trojan Gobel ended up with one win and two losses to put her out of the tournament. Both losses were a hard fight and very close matches, according to the coaches.

Perez started off her first day of the tournament with a win and then a loss. On day two, Danielle received her second loss, leaving her one match short from placing in the state tournament.

“Overall, both girls worked very hard throughout the year, and Beeville is very proud of all they have accomplished this season,” said wrestling coach Terry Foster.
