The Lady Trojan and Trojan JV squads came through with several good individual performances. Lady Trojan varsity runner Kennedy Trevino placed second in the 3,200-meter run to qualify for the area meet that will be hosted in G-P again on Wednesday, starting at 11 a.m.
“She ran her best time of the season, 12:29.48, and broke her own school record from two years ago, at 12:38. We are so proud of her,” said Lady Trojan coach Linda Luna.

3,200-meter run – Emilie Bozant, first, 13:46.64 (JV district champ).

“We struggled on varsity with relays all season, and it carried over into district. It didn’t stop the girls from at least trying their best,” said Luna.
“A positive to it all, is we are only losing one senior and everyone else should be returning next season.”

“I am really proud of how our kids competed this week. This is a very talented district with some veteran teams who will do well at the regional and state levels this year,” said Trojan head coach Jay Viertel.
