Pet owners will want to take advantage of an upcoming rabies vaccination clinic on Saturday, May 3, at the Williams Veterinary Clinic at 2389 East U.S. Highway 59.

Rabies vaccinations will be $5, and all other vaccinations for dogs and cats will be half price.

“We’re hoping to have a good crowd,” said Senior Control Officer Lupe Valdez of the city’s animal control department.

Valdez said the clinic will offer the vaccinations from 8 a.m. until noon.

Valdez said it is important to have all pets vaccinated against the disease now that a case of rabies in a skunk has been confirmed in Bee County.
