McMullen 4-H students competed and placed at the District 12 Shooting Sports Rifle Contest held at the Brooks County 4-H Range in Falfurrias on April 18.

Senior age division shooters competed in shooting two sets of targets in three positions and the junior and intermediates competed in the prone position.

Junior team members consisting of Sarita Cavazos, Marc Casas, and Taryn Walker placed third. Sarita Cavazos earned the High Point Individual Award. In the Intermediate Division, 2 teams represented McMullen 4-H.

In Team 1, members included Kyle Engleking, Trey Kuenstler, and Ty Megliorino, 1st place. Team 2 consisted of Clay Atkinson, Joaquin Cavazos, and Jimm Casas, 2nd Place Team.
