He was born Jan. 19, 1951, in Goliad to Frank “Panchito” and Maria Louisa (Cardenas) Gonzales. He served with the U.S. Marines for four years, was a past member of the American Legion and Caballeros Club, owned and operated J.C. Sports Lounge and was a crew manager for Global Geophysical.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Jean A. Gonzales; one daughter, Tonya J. Gonzales; one son and daughter-in-law, Joe C. and Lauri A. Gonzales, all of Beeville; his mother, Maria Louisa C. Gonzales of Goliad; five brothers, Francisco (Diane) Gonzales of Beeville, Daniel and John Gonzales, both of Ocala, Fla., Bobby Gonzales of Goliad and Rene (Cindy) Gonzales of Granbury; two sisters, Yolanda (Sid) Underwood and Jo Ann Gonzales, both of Granbury; and five grandchildren, Landon Lukezic, Dustin, Dalton and Derrik Pinney, all of Beeville, and Jacob Fortes of Cibolo.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home.
