The Bee County Historical Commission held a meeting on Friday, April 25, at the Berclair Mansion. Twenty members and guests attended this meeting hosted by the Beeville Art Association.

Members were served dinner and given a tour of the mansion. New Chamber of Commerce manager Keith Arnold was introduced and presented with Historical Commission brochures showing all of the historical markers in Bee County and 2014 calendars showing historical pictures of older Bee County homes.

Regular business matters were discussed as well as ongoing projects including the Hefferman grave project, obtaining history on rural Bee County communities, a historical marker for American Legion post #818, obtaining more historical photos for the Texas Portals website, discussing the Glenwood Cemetery Marker, an ongoing history of the San Domingo Ranch and, finally, plans for a historical marker for Chase Field.
