Christine Cherry and Brian Kasik, both of Rockport, were married April 5, 2014, at 2 p.m. Rev. Rudy G. Aguila officiated the double-ring ceremony at the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Musical selections for the ceremony were played on the piano.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Dell Cherry. She wore a Sophia Tolli sweetheart a-line satin gown with a train and rhinestone embellishments, and a one-layer waist length veil with rhinestone edging. She wore her English great-grandmother’s broche and crystal drop earrings and carried a bouquet of white and ivory peonies, roses and hydrangeas.

The matron of honor was Alexis Bledsoe of Beeville. The bridesmaids were Kellie McCumber (sister) of Kingman, Arizona, Delaine Martinez of Corpus Christi and Leigh Kucera of Beaumont. They carried bouquets of a white spring mix.

The best man was Brian Mees of Belton, and groomsmen were Jason Kasik (brother) of Frisco, Houston Oates of Dallas and Chad Markley of Austin. Ushers were Oscar Martinez of Corpus Christi and Will Bledsoe of Beeville.

Dinner for the wedding party and guests was held at Bucca di Beppo Italian restaurant, in the Excalibur Casino in Las Vegas.

The wedding reception will be held on Saturday, May 24, at the Beeville Community Center.

The bride is the daughter of Virginia Cherry of Beeville and Dell and Lynne Cherry of Hemphill. She graduated from A.C. Jones High School in 2001, and attended Coastal Bend College, graduating in 2004 from the LVN program. She is employed with Oak Crest Nursing Center in Rockport as director of staff development.

The groom is the son of John and Joan Kasik of Waco. He attended La Vega High School in Waco, graduating in 1992, and attended Baylor University (1993-1997). He is employed as an account executive at IWS Gas & Supply in Ingleside.
